Life and passion for dance.

The fact that I see myself on stage dancing and dancing has been a dream of mine since I was born. Dancing, singing and acting were my vision. However, living through dance was never as easy as I had dreamed of since I was a child. Even as a small child, I faced a lot of obstacles in life, so I looked for ways to get closer to dance. Through school performances and competitions, I finally got into the LAST MINUTE dance group as a teenager, where I gained valuable Street Dance basics and continued to grow as a dancer in the BDS Academy community. At this time, I was also a member of the girl group Just4dance, where I experienced a beautiful dance-friendly relationship with Linda Svátková, with whom I flew to the USA at the age of 19 for another adventure with the view that one day we would be together in New York City on Broadway. this dream came true a year later. Although we didn’t make it to Broadway together, it was an amazing year for us, full of great fun and lots of experiences to last a lifetime. This year we met the jazz singer Gary Brown and had the honor of performing for him in Florida and I later in New Orleans.

My very first lecturers were Yemi and Linda Rančáková. At the age of 14, I naturally found a love for Caribbean beats and asked my grandmother to buy me my first Sean Paul CD. What followed were days and nights spent dancing to the one and only CD I had. After that, I started looking for the Dancehall community and stuck with my teacher Káka from the BDS Academy, thanks to whom I took part in the Radio Spin battle for the first time and finished in 2nd place.

I was always more attracted to traveling in America than a stable lifestyle in the Czech Republic. I started collecting my first great dance experience in New York City at the Broadway Dance Center. Later, I visited all the dance studios in Los Angeles in 3 months.

Long pauses and breaks in dance followed, mainly due to studying at the university in Liberec (2011 – 2016). Who would have thought that I studied NANOTECHNOLOGY. The university hiatus was a huge “push” for me to really get into dance again and travel to see him outside of my native home. Three months in LA reconfirmed that dancehall was my path and I traveled to Jamaica for the first time (in 2016), which had been a dream of mine since 2011.

In Jamaica, I connected with the local community and was able to create a trip (2018) for myself and other students to Jamaica for the first time, where I showed them the local life in the mountains and dancehall. I am the founder of the girl group “Hectic gyals” (since 2017), with whom I went to Jamaica to perform for the New Year’s Eve show for the year (2017/2018), thanks to Christopher Shippy for the invitation. A really well-trodden path followed. I started performing for the young singer Nely Řehořová, for whom I danced in the music video “Nad Hladinou” (2018).

The year 2019, on the other hand, started in a competitive spirit, and thanks to my little dance “sweet hearts” I have newly created the dance competition groups “Hectic bejbies” & “Hectic cheeky girls”. The children experienced for the first time what it’s like to fight dance and the more training we completed, the more medals we won. The biggest success in the end was the 2nd & 3rd place. I went through the competition period for the first time in the same year with the dance group X-style Europe led by dancer Nobro from Brazil & his girlfriend Terezá Kvasnicová. With this great team, in 2019 we won gold medals in the Czech dance tour 2019 regional round and the Czech Championship, in the last round of the Czech Republic Championship we won 4th place, we won silver in the dance competition Dance Děčín 2019, again A golden place in the dance competition Dance Mánia Cup, followed by gold medals and a cup for the best choreography of the season.

In 2016, I went to a dance performance in Dubai under the leadership of Pavel Strouhal and Aneta Antošová, where I stayed for 4 months as general manager for “Art – Entertainment company” , where Katka used her talent for music and worked as a local DJ after her work. This trip was a real work experience for me.

Thanks to my experience in Dubai, I threw myself fully into organizing various dance “events”. One of the first big workshops I organized with the Hectic gyals team was a workshop with a respected Jamaican dancer named Dansa Bling (stage name) in 2017. In the same year, I organized for the first time with my former group Hectic gyals, dance – learning camp in Jamaica.

I like to support various dance “events” myself and the actions of my dance colleagues. I try to enjoy the dance with the dance community. It always warms my heart when I see people’s efforts to know something, dedicate themselves to something and train for their own development. That’s why I really enjoy teaching dance. Being a leader is a path that fulfills me. Every year I like to say: “I haven’t started yet”.
